This coffee comes from Café Don Benjie, a 33-hectare farm located in the dramatic Chiriquí Highlands, nestled in the Bajo Mono Canyon, near Boquete and the slopes of the Barú Volcano. Grown at elevations between 1400 and 1600 meters, the farm thrives alongside the pristine Caldera River, benefiting from volcanic soils, crystal-clear spring water, and the legendary Bajareque mist. Together, these elements create unique microclimates that have made Bajo Mono one of Panama’s most respected specialty coffee regions.

The farm’s story dates back to 1914, when the de Dianous family arrived in Boquete and acquired their first coffee land in Bajo Mono. Their dedication to coffee has continued for generations. In 2011, the farm entered a new chapter under the stewardship of José Benjamín de Dianous G. and Stefan Arwed Müller, who remain deeply committed to quality, sustainability, and environmental preservation.

The name Café Don Benjie honours Benjamin de Dianous Henríquez, affectionately known as Don Benjie, a passionate coffee lover and an active contributor to Boquete’s coffee culture. This coffee is both a tribute and a legacy.

Carefully naturally processed to enhance sweetness, complexity, and texture, this Maragogipe is roasted by SOLO Brewing Lisboa and presented in an exclusive glass bottle containing 90g of whole beans. The lot is extremely limited, with only a handful of units available.
