A guardian for your daily ritual.

Before we talk about the coffee, meet the guardian on its label: the carranca.

Rooted in the folk art of northeastern Brazil, especially the countryside and the communities along the São Francisco River, carrancas are carved sculptures with striking, fierce faces, often combining human and animal features. Traditionally placed at the bows of riverboats, they became guardians of the journey. In popular belief, their watchful expressions warded off evil spirits, bad omens and the dangers that lay ahead.

That fierce face carries a caring intention: to protect. Passed down through generations of craftspeople and river communities, the carranca is an expression of art, belief and the desire to bring people safely home. Beyond the river, it has become a cherished symbol of northeastern Brazilian culture and protection.

For Ducuara, we brought that guardian onto our label as a tribute to our ancestors and the traditions they carried forward. Our intention is to offer you more than coffee: a symbolic gift of protection, a little of that ancestral care accompanying your everyday ritual. Not a promise of magic, but a gesture of affection, memory and connection to our roots.

The coffee comes from Colombia. The guardian honours our Brazilian heritage. Together, they tell a story of the places and people we carry with us, and the care we want to pass on.

Ducuara: a floral expression of Colombian Geisha.

Produced by Wilson Ducuara at El Jardín in Colombia, this Geisha is grown at 1,850 metres above sea level and processed using the washed method. A coffee with an expressive profile that moves between flowers, fruit, fresh herbal notes and sweetness.

In the cup, lavender and orange blossom introduce a fragrant floral character. Tropical fruits bring a lively, generous dimension, while lemongrass adds a refreshing herbal note. Honey sweetness ties the profile together, inviting you to slow down and explore what each sip reveals.

A coffee to make time for, with a guardian to accompany the moment.
