From the lush highlands of Sidamo, this naturally processed Ethiopian lot captures the essence of one of coffee’s most iconic origins. Grown between 1,500 and 3,000 meters, the cherries flourish in fertile volcanic soil and cool mountain air, producing a cup that is both vivid and complex.
Sourced through Mecota Trading, a collective that empowers smallholder farmers while preserving traceability and craft, this coffee showcases local landrace varieties — a living expression of Ethiopia’s genetic coffee heritage.
In the cup, expect an expressive profile of blackberry, floral tones, brown sugar, and caramelized orange, with a wild and layered complexity that lingers long after each sip.
Roasted by SOLO Lisboa, awarded Best Roastery in Portugal 2025 (jury & public choice) at Porto Coffee Week, and recognized for Sustainability at the My Coffee Awards in Barcelona.
Crafted under the vision of Dani Cassiano, one of the winners of Coffee Personality of the Year 2025.
A celebration of origin, artistry, and conscious roasting — from Ethiopia to your cup.

The highlight of this lot is its caramelized orange character — a vibrant citrus note wrapped in a layer of brown sugar sweetness and soft floral undertones. It brings a delicate brightness to the cup, reminiscent of candied peel and orange zest, balanced by a smooth, syrupy body. For those who love citrus-forward coffees with sweet complexity and refined acidity, Bekele Balaycho offers an elegant and memorable experience.
