When we came in the roaster was working and we felt and amazing smell of the freshly roasted coffee ☺️ We have tried cappuccino, pumpkin spice latte and espresso - coffees were great, full bodied, well balanced acidity and sweetness. For the food we have chosen the ham and cheese tapioca and cheesebread sandwich with Cachaço - everything was good and portions are decent for the price. Another very good coffee in Lisbon for the specialty coffee aficionado. Adroaldo, the owner, is a great host, is always innovating, and the service is also pretty nice. Less than a year ago, he wasn't roasting, now was just selected to supply the coffee for the national Aeropress championship. The last time I was there, he invited me for a Cupping session and I had the opportunity to try many different coffee. Fantastic. I really recommend this place! Their passion for coffee shows in the drinks they serve. This is excellent coffee. Try their micro lot pour overs! I also tried the tapioca crepe with eggs and bacon. We went to this cafe twice in our short time here in Lisbon! This was the only place we visited twice because we loved it so much! The people are very friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable and food is phenomenal. A special treat is the designs on the mocha… the mocha was also amazing! In addition they provide quick service and are great at answering any questions. Also they speak excellent English. I have to add, amazing desserts as well as brunch items. No wait time and nice and cool downstairs on a hot day. Highly recommend this place! Fantastic coffee for speciality coffee lovers. Amazing pour over options. They are roasting coffees fresh on a small Bullet roaster as you are enjoying your coffee and the aroma is fantastic. Absolutely top notch. Needs more than five stars! By far the best establishment I’ve been to in Lisbon. Excellent artisan coffee, equally impressive food selection. Read on if you are into quality coffee and/or if you are particular about your breakfast. First of all, I was served the most sophisticated americano I ever had. That was my first order, and I immediately knew I had stumbled upon a special place. They have a way of doing it that improves the espresso rather than flattening it. And of course I also had to try the espresso to taste the base - very expressive and smooth, perfectly brewed. And that’s just the beginning - they offer a variety of V60 pour overs (among other options), each individually optimized to perfection by their talented barista, Eduardo. Leave it to Eduardo to recommend a special brew he has been experimenting on, and you will taste coffee notes that few people would find the privilege to experience. And no, I am not exaggerating. By the way, in addition to brewing amazing coffee, Eduardo also makes you feel welcome and comfortable. A very pleasant and friendly person who enhances the experience at SoLo Brewing Coffee Lab. All the staff were very professional, helpful, and pleasant but I have to call out Eduardo separately who really got me coming back. I travel a lot due to my work, usually spending only a couple of days on a business trip. I like trying different places when on travel so I will rarely ever visit the same cafe/restaurant/coffee shop twice. I visited SoLo on three out of my four days in Lisbon - they literally earned my loyalty the first time I set foot there. Now about the food (I had breakfast here on each of the three days I visited). Their brunch menu is excellent. I would have never thought to put chocolate on my eggs and I was a bit skeptical about it when I saw that as part of the brunch menu, but thought to myself “what the hell, give it a try”. Somehow, the very humble amount they drizzle on it, its texture, its creaminess and its flavour complement and enhance the egg so well, it will surprise you. A delicacy for sure. The croissants, the waffle, and the granola bowl are also nothing short of excellent. I had the brunch menu on two of my visits (should have taken photos - only thought about that on my last visit) and it was so good both times that I had to force myself to try something different on my third visit. Eduardo recommended the “heaven eggs”. Poached egg on a semi-soup of molten cheese. Heavenly indeed! Definitely a very close second to the fabulous brunch menu. And the tiramisu… I discovered it only too late, on my third and last visit. Served exactly the way it should be: in a glass and not on a plate, with a spoon and not with a fork. Just the right moistness, high quality mascarpone, excellent top dressing. There is no alcohol in the wet mix, but they do a last minute coffee pour over when serving it, which adds a warmer and more intense background to the tiramisu than Kahlua ever could. Delicious! What more can I say. My experience visiting Lisbon was pleasant overall, but the time I spent at SoLo and the people I met there definitely marked the highlight of my trip.
